CDP win at GAI/ RIBA Award
CDP with John Monaghan Ltd picked up an award at the recent Guild of Architectural Ironmongers awards in London for the restoration of Coodham House in Ayrshire. The project was highly commended in Residential Buildings category.
CDP take part in Public Consultation Exhibition for Lifetime Recycling Village
CDP have recently taken part in public exhibition events in Newton Mearns as part of the pre-planning application consultation for the proposed Lifetime Recycling Village at Loganswell in East Renfrewshire. The Recycling complex proposes to recycle 1.5 million tonnes of waste annually to produce recycled products and renewable energy. The design concept centres on the notion of creating a green landscaped ‘Science Park’ like environment as opposed to a generic collection of sheds.
Restoration of Coodham House wins at Herald Property Awards
CDP’s restoration of Coodham House has recently won a special commendation in the ‘Best Conversion’ Category at the Herald Property Awards 2010 held at Glasgow’s Grand Central Hotel. For more information on the Awards click here.
Coodham House features in Architecture Scotland Annual 2010
The Restoration of the A-Listed Coodham House was featured in the recently published Architecture Scotland Annual 2010, a publication which features the best Scottish Architecture of the last year.
CDP Receive Planning Permission for New Build Houses at Coodham Estate, Ayrshire
Custom Design Practice have recently received Planning Permission for a development of 12 houses within the grounds of Coodham House in South Ayrshire. The new family dwellings built in and surrounding the original Walled Garden respond to their surroundings by taking material cues from the existing wall itself and the original red sandstone Coodham House.
CDP Architects nominated for Scottish Design Award
The Custom Design Practice designed glass entrance porch in Stirling was nominated under the Low Cost category at the Scottish Design Awards nominations party on the 6th of April.
The 1m² glass & galvanised steel structure frames the dressed stone ashlar entrance surround of original B-listed house whilst offering views towards the Wallace Monument and surrounding landscape.
